Tools

Line tool

The Line tool is used for drawing straight lines and polygons. Each click adds a new segment to the active shape. To stop adding points you can either press Esc or double click when placing the last line segment.

Creating a closed shape is possible by either pressing Enter or adding a new point at the location of the first point.

If you want to change a segment that was already placed while the tool is still active, you can press the Back button (as opposed to Undo which will remove the whole shape)

Curve tool

The Curve tool is used for creating curved lines (quadratic Bézier curves). It works by first placing a starting and ending point for a line segment, followed by a control point which determines the curvature of the segment.

Fill tool

The Fill tool this can be used to quickly fill shapes with the currently selected fill color.

Text tool

The Text tool can be used to place text on the canvas. The tool menu allows you to choose the desired font and font size. Note that changing the text color is done by adjusting the fill color. It’s also possible to create an “outline” effect by setting a stroke color and stroke width.

Select tool

The Select tool is an entry point to many different actions, all of which affect shapes that already exist in your sketch.

Selecting a shape is done using either a click/tap, or by dragging a rectangular region around the desired shapes. You can extend an existing selection by holding down Shift as you select more shapes.

With one or more shapes selected, you can adjust stroke and fill colors by using the relevant color pickers. Other basic manipulation options are the Move, Scale and Rotate actions which perform the expected transformations. Each manipulation will start by pressing the relevant button and then determining the amount using the mouse.

When selecting a shape, if you happen to click at a location where multiple shapes overlap, a menu will show up for you to indicate which is the shape you intended to select.
